Alaska Native Villages areas were selected and centroids were calculated to provide estimates of the center of each village area. Federally recognized Tribal Entity Names are provided by EPA's Tribal Identification web service (found at http://www.exchangenetwork.net/data-exchange/epa-tribal-identification-tribes/). The relationships between Alaska Native Villages and Tribal Entities were built during earlier work by EPA's American Indian Environmental Office (AIEO) while developing the Tribal Information Management System (TIMS).
