Description: In 2011, Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) partnered with The Trust for Public Land (TPL) to examine conservation priorities for children’s access to green spaces, protecting riparian habitats, and enhancing regional trail connectivity across the 8-county Denver Metropolitan region. <br><br> The Denver Metro Green Space Study had four main objectives: a) the creation of an up-to-date inventory of publically accessible parks, green space, and trails in the Metro Region, and GIS analysis of the b) accessibility of green space to children, c) opportunities for riparian habitat protection, and d) connectivity of existing trail systems. <br><br> The study area for this project includes all or portions of the following counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Jefferson, Denver, Douglas, Weld, Broomfield, and Boulder.
